Mitchelstown will have to sit and wait to see who they play in the Quarter-Final of the 2009 Fermoy Credit Union North Cork Junior A football Championship after the draw was made for the rest of the year by the North Cork Board.

Mary Collins of Carragane was the first wiiner of the Mitchelstown & Ballygiblin fortnightly lotto when she scooped the jackpot of €2,400 on Friday night at The Three Counties. Her lucky numbers were 5,9,15 & 17. Congratulations and best wishes to Mary on her good fortune.

Seven members of the adult club underwent an extensive course at T.O Park on Saturday 28/3/2009 that covered all aspects of CPR and defibrillator training along with directions on what to do in an instance of choking.
